Dec. 8th Saturday Away Battle on the Bay - Bayport 9:15 am Our Red Raiders competed over in Green Bay at the Battle on the Bay. It was a day of ups and downs with some nice wins and some very close losses. I think the young Raider team learned quite a bit today that will hopefully help make them stronger as the season moves on. Pactick Spray was the top Red Raider finisher with a hard fought second place.

Feb. 2nd Saturday Home WVC Tournament - 10:00 am The Red Raiders had their ups and downs today at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament, but overall, I thought they battle pretty hard all day. In the first and second rounds they looked very good. It was that third round that seemed to cause some trouble and that seems to happen to a lot of teams. As the day wore on, it became obvious that this would be a battle for first and second as well as third and fourth. Wausau West and Merrill are two very good teams that fought it out for first and second with West prevailing. The Red Raiders came close to topping Stevens Point for third, but narrowly missed it and took fourth. Patrcik Spray, Matrix Jisko, Ben Campbell and Beau Thompson all placed second.

Patrick Spray, Matix Jisko, Jordan Scalice and Beau Thompson were all crowned Regional Champions. Dylan Hall, Ben Campbell, Peyton Einerson, and Darren Jackson placed second. Next up for the Red Raider team will by Bayport at next week's Team Sectional at Bayport HS.

Feb 21st, 22ndd, 23rd Away State Individual Tournament Madison Kohl Center TBA Two Raider wrestlers qualitfied for the State Individual Tournament, but both had a pretty tough draw. In the first round Patrick Spray beat Manny Rosado of Port Washington 10-9 but then lost to Preston Ernst of Waunakee 8-1. Beau Thompson was defeated by Tayler Hildebrandt from Badger 5-2. Hildebrandt went on to lose his next match which ended the tournament for Beau.
Day Two - Patrick Spray faced Justin Peterson of Eau Claire North in the first round of wrestlebacks and lost a close 2-0 decision. That loss ended Patrick's Tournament and the WIAA season for the Red Raider wrestlers.
