Wed Dec 30th at Eau Claire Holiday Tournament 9:00 am. Even though this was a new tournament for the Red Raiders, they were very much capable of taking care of business. It was a 12 team round robin format tourny with a nice blend of teams from Wisconsin and Minnesota. Once again the Red Raiders were a little shorthanded, but they made up for it with a lot of extra points. The Red Raiders breezed through their pool by beating Whitehall 67-6 and Medford 59-15. Then in the championship bracket the Raiders took down Pine Island, MN 49-17, Minnetonka, MN 40-33 and Eden Prairie, MN 50-24.

Sat Feb 6th at WVC Tournament - Merrill 10:00 am. The Red Raiders had a shot and came very close, but with only 12 wrestlers at teh WVC Tournament, they just didn't have quite enough. With 202.5 points, Stevens Point came out on top today. With 197, the Raiders were only 5.5 points behind. With that said, by way of the dual meet win by Rapids early this season and a second place showing today, the Red Raiders are the 2016 Wisconsin Valley Conference Champions.
